Assign students to
lockers In preparation for a school year students may be assigned to a locker by the system. Setting up students on the system after locker assignments have already been made will require lockers and students to be manually assigned. The system assignment is made by selecting the “Lockers” tab at the bottom of the Locker screen. Select the “Assign” tab at the top of the screen. In the Locker Assignment box select the “Locker To:” field by clicking on the triangle on the right side of the field. Click on the grade or group to assign. Then click on the “Assign” button. At the end of the assignment process, summary information will be displayed. Before beginning the assignment process, be sure there are sufficient locker records available for the student population selected. Assigning lockers to students manually can be done from the Locker records screen or the Student information screen. To assign students from the Locker screen, click on the “Locker” tab. Find the locker to assign by typing in the locker number in the “Find Locker No.” field, or sliding the button up and down on the right side of the grid and clicking on the desired record. The record selected will display in the box below the grid. On the edit bar select “Edit.” On the right side of the student field click on the triangle. A list of students will display. Select the student. If it is a shared locker, select the “Partner” in the same manner. Then click on the “Save” button on the edit bar. To assign lockers to students from the student screen, click on the “Student” tab on the bottom of the screen. It may be helpful to click on the “School” tab to find a student quickly. A student may be found by the student number or name. On the bottom left of screen is a “Search By:” selection box: Student Name or Student Number. The default display is by student name. Students are listed alphabetically by last name. Selecting the “Student Number” option will list the students numerically by their assigned numbers. Typing either the student name or number (depending on the Search By: selection) will move the grid bar to the desired student. Once found, move the cursor to the highlighted record and double click the left mouse button to move to the Student page or tab. Or, just click on the “Student” tab. The selected student will display in the edit box. Click on the “Edit” button in the edit bar. Go to the Location field. Click on the triangle on the right side of the field. Select a location from the drop down menu. Click on the Locker No. field, enter the locker number. If it is a shared locker, click on the triangle on the right side of the Partner field and select the partner student, and click on the “Save” button. Repeat this process for each student/locker assignment. By following these setup instructions in the order presented, the system should be ready and available for use.
